Liminal Space 1: Pipe Dream, 2019, oil on canvas, 24'' x 36'' - There’s something about empty buildings that I find so exhilarating, and it wasn’t until I started reading about liminal spaces that this feeling made sense. A liminal space is a threshold between one reality and another; you’ve left something behind, but have not yet reached something else. Your consciousness is in transition, and that can feel eerie, almost like a free fall. I think it's a fascinating sensation and did my best to capture it here.
